Goal

Apply to an eligible online program through EDU4Less so you receive either (a) an immediate negotiated tuition reduction or (b) a term-based scholarship payment credited to your student account, and then maintain eligibility each semester.

Prerequisites

  • You are a new student to the in-network college/university (current students at an in-network school are not eligible to apply). EDU4Less FAQ
  • You are a U.S. citizen (non-U.S. citizens are not eligible). EDU4Less FAQ
  • You choose an eligible online program listed on EDU4Less (only listed programs are eligible). EDU4Less FAQ
  • You are prepared to stay continuously enrolled and complete courses (breaks, drops, or failures can end eligibility). Education For Less Scholarship Agreement (PDF)
  • You understand the two benefit types: some programs have an immediate negotiated tuition reduction; others use a 10% scholarship payment model. EDU4Less FAQ

Steps

  1. Pick an eligible EDU4Less-listed online program (and confirm which benefit type it uses)

Action: On EDU4Less, select a program that is explicitly listed as eligible, then note whether it offers a negotiated tuition reduction or a 10% scholarship payment model.

Expected outcome: You know whether your savings should appear immediately as a lowered tuition rate or later as a scholarship credit/payment.

Gotchas: Only programs listed on the EDU4Less site are eligible; switching to a non-eligible program can end the scholarship. EDU4Less FAQ

    Time estimate: 10–30 minutes.

  2. Request information so you’re connected to the enrollment team

Action: Use the program inquiry flow on EDU4Less (or contact EDU4Less) to get connected with an enrollment team member.

Expected outcome: You have a point of contact who can answer questions via chat, Zoom, phone, or text.

Gotchas: If you skip the EDU4Less inquiry path and apply “directly” without completing the EDU4Less scholarship submission inside the admissions platform, you may miss the intended routing for the discount/scholarship.

    Time estimate: 5–15 minutes.

  3. Complete the scholarship submission inside the school’s online admissions application

Action: Start the online application for admission for the chosen program and complete the EDU4Less scholarship submission form embedded in that admissions platform before you submit your application.

Expected outcome: Your application includes the EDU4Less scholarship/discount submission at the correct point in the workflow.

Gotchas: EDU4Less indicates the scholarship submission form is contained within the admissions application platform (not a separate standalone form on the site). EDU4Less FAQ

Time estimate: 30–90 minutes (varies by school and how quickly you can provide prior education/employment details).

  4. Enroll and pay tuition as required by the school (then track the benefit timing)

Action: After admission, enroll in courses and pay tuition per the school’s normal process. Then track how your EDU4Less benefit is applied based on the program type:

    • Negotiated tuition reduction: effective immediately and applies for the duration of your time in the program. EDU4Less FAQ
    • 10% scholarship payment model: EDU4Less makes a payment directly to the school into your student account within 45 days after the add/drop deadline each semester, after verifying enrollment; the amount is calculated based on actual tuition paid at the semester start. EDU4Less FAQ

Expected outcome: You can reconcile your student account activity with the correct EDU4Less timing model.

Gotchas: EDU4Less does not guarantee admission; admission decisions are made by the schools. EDU4Less Legal Information

Time estimate: 1–3 hours total across enrollment tasks (plus school processing time).

  5. Stay eligible each term (continuous enrollment and completion)

Action: Remain continuously enrolled and complete your courses each term; avoid breaks, drops, or failures that can end eligibility. If you must change programs, change only to another eligible program and notify EDU4Less promptly if your program or school changes.

Expected outcome: Your tuition reduction continues (if negotiated-rate program) or your scholarship payments continue each semester after add/drop (if scholarship model).

Gotchas: The scholarship agreement indicates you can lose eligibility if you take time off, drop classes, or fail to complete them; changing schools/programs can also affect eligibility. Education For Less Scholarship Agreement (PDF)

Time estimate: Ongoing each term (plan a 10–15 minute check-in at the start of each term to confirm you’re still in an eligible program and enrolled as intended).

  6. Use the right escalation path if something looks off

Action: If your account does not reflect the expected immediate tuition reduction (for negotiated-rate programs) or the expected post–add/drop scholarship timing (for the 10% scholarship model), contact EDU4Less via the connected enrollment team member or the EDU4Less contact form.

Expected outcome: You get clarification on timing, eligibility, and whether your program is in the negotiated-rate category or scholarship-payment category.

Gotchas: EDU4Less notes scholarship amounts can vary and may be modified, suspended, or terminated; plan to re-check terms if you pause enrollment or change programs. EDU4Less Legal Information

Time estimate: 10–30 minutes to submit a request; response time varies.

Expected Outcomes

  • You submit the EDU4Less scholarship/discount information at the correct point in the admissions workflow (inside the application platform). EDU4Less FAQ
  • If your program has a negotiated tuition reduction, your lowered tuition rate applies immediately and continues for the duration of the program (subject to program eligibility and changes). EDU4Less FAQ
  • If your program uses the 10% scholarship model, EDU4Less pays the school and the credit appears in your student account within 45 days after the add/drop deadline each semester (after verification), calculated from actual tuition paid at the semester start. EDU4Less FAQ
  • You avoid common eligibility loss triggers (breaks in course load, drops, non-completion) that can end scholarship eligibility. Education For Less Scholarship Agreement (PDF)
